About The Role

We The People is seeking an energetic Human Resources professional to join our growing team in Melbourne in a part-time (2-days) position of People & Culture Manager. In this role, you’ll be leading our People & Culture practice, supporting our growing team to do the best work of their career. You’ll be responsible for leading key HR initiatives and setting the tone for how we best support our people across the agency group. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual seeking to play a significant role in the growth of our agency across Australia & New Zealand.

What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of the role are to:

  • Manage the People & Culture practice across the agency, owning a range of HR, culture & engagement initiatives, working closely with our Operations Director ANZ.
  • Work to establish & build on strong HR structures to support our team’s experience and growth at We The People. Being a readily available and understanding presence to provide guidance, support and consultation to our team as required.
  • Manage Annual Review, Probationary Review & performance milestone process across the team, in collaboration with management.
  • Collaborate with the ALT & Senior Leaders to develop growth plans for our teams; including in organisational design and culture planning.
  • Support in the recruitment & onboarding of various team members across our offices in Melbourne, Sydney and Auckland.
  • Development and review of employment contracts.

Key Selection criteria

Specialist knowledge, skills andattributes

  • A positive, empathetic attitude - a genuine passion to help people grow!
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and high attention to detail.
  • An in-depth understanding of employment regulations, laws and best practices across Australia & New Zealand. (Note: WTP will assist with training if experience only exists in Australia)
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A strong understanding of the importance and impact of building a strong culture across teams.

Qualifications and experience

  • Background working in creative industries is preferred & viewed positively.
  • Minimum of 4+ years working in Human Resources.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in HR, Employment Law or Business Management.
